West Bengal RTE Admission 2025-26 Required Documents

The WB RTE Admission for the academic year 2025-26 necessitates the submission of specific documents. An applicant or their guardian must include a self-attested copy of the candidate’s birth certificate with the application form. In cases where the birth certificate is unavailable during admission, a declaration from the guardian regarding the ward’s age is acceptable. However, the birth certificate must be submitted within six months as per RTE Rule, 2012.

Additionally, to avail of reservation benefits, a self-attested copy of the caste certificate issued by the relevant authority must be provided with the application form. It is crucial to accurately complete all sections of the application form. Upon selection, candidates are required to present their original birth certificate or relevant documents, unless the guardian’s declaration on the ward’s age was accepted, along with any necessary reservation certificates during the admission process.

Important Dates of RTE West Bengal Admission

The essential dates for WB RTE Admission 2025-26 have been disclosed. The admission process timeline is outlined as follows: Admission forms for the lottery will be distributed and received on 28th November 2023. The lottery draw will be carried out between 4th December 2023 and 16th December 2023. Successful candidates selected through the lottery will be admitted on 18th December 2023, with the final admission procedures wrapping up by 22nd December 2023.

Limitation of Age for RTE West Bengal Admission 2025-26

The age-appropriate classes would be determined as follows based on the age of the students as of January 1, 2025:

  • a) For Class I, students should be at least 6 years old but younger than 7 years old.
  • b) For Class II, students should be at least 7 years old but younger than 8 years old.
  • c) For Class III, students should be at least 8 years old but younger than 9 years old.
  • d) For Class IV, students should be at least 9 years old but younger than 10 years old.
  • e) For Class V, students should be at least 10 years old but younger than 11 years old.
  • f) For Class VI, students should be at least 11 years old but younger than 12 years old.
  • g) For Class VII, students should be at least 12 years old but younger than 13 years old.
  • h) For Class VIII, students should be at least 13 years old but younger than 14 years old.
