Lottery Result for RTE 25% Maharashtra Admission 2026-27
The online admissions process for RTE Maharashtra for the academic year 2014-15 incorporates a lottery system to allocate schools, which is currently at the provisional stage. The lottery is specifically for schools that have received more applications than their designated capacity under the 25% reservation policy. All eligible candidates are considered for placement in their preferred schools, ensuring that no candidate is excluded after being assigned to a school. Candidates who have applied to multiple schools may be allocated to all their choices or fewer schools than they applied to.
Priority is given to candidates residing within a 1km radius of the school for school allocation, followed by those residing within a 2-3km radius of the schools applied to. Once candidates within the 1km radius are accommodated, any remaining vacancies are filled through a lottery system for candidates residing within the 2-3km radius.
The physical lottery procedure takes place in an auditorium, utilizing a number of bowls corresponding to the maximum digits of applications received for any school participating in the process. For instance, if a school received 599 applications, three bowls will be used for the lottery draw.
During the lottery draw, a parent or candidate will randomly select chits with digits from each bowl in sequence. This selection process involves picking digits for the last digit, second-to-last digit, and third-to-last digit from the respective bowls. In cases where no chit is drawn for the third-to-last digit, a value of zero or null will be considered for that position. The selection rounds for all chits from the bowls are conducted sequentially and simultaneously in the auditorium.
