TN TASMAC Holidays List 2024: Lok Sabha Election

TN TASMAC Shops Closed on Mahavir Jayanti and May Day 2024

On the auspicious day of Mahavir Jayanti on April 21, 2024 (Sunday), an order has been given to shut down all Tasmac liquor retail stores and related outlets in the Chennai district. Likewise, on May 1, 2024 (Wednesday) in observance of May Day, these establishments will also be closed. This directive is intended to show reverence for these important occasions and encourage a sense of moderation and observance among the local community.

TN TASMAC Shops Closed on 24-26 May 2024 | Lok Sabha Elections in Kerala

The Lok Sabha elections in Kerala State are scheduled for April 26, 2024. As a result, Tasmac Liquor Shops located within a 5 km radius of the Kerala State Border, specifically in Thalur (8215), Ayyangolli (8235), Nambiargunnu (8411), Erumadu (8447), and Samudra Regency FL3 Bar Hotel in Erumadu, Pandalur, will be prohibited from selling liquor from 10:00 am on April 24, 2024, until midnight on April 26, 2024. Additionally, all Tasmac retail shops and hotel bars will be required to remain closed during this period.

Leading up to the Parliamentary General Election in Chennai District in May 2024, the government has enforced a regulation requiring the closure of all TASMAC liquor retail outlets and licensed bars, including those associated with clubs. This mandate is in effect from the evening prior to election day until the day of vote-counting on June 4, 2024.
